STILL SERVING OR ALREADY OUT — YOU’RE STILL PART OF THE TEAM.

Maybe you are still serving on active duty.

Maybe you are in the National Guard or Reserve.

Maybe you recently separated, retired, or have been out for a few years.

Wherever you are in your military journey, one thing remains the same:

You are part of a community built on service.

You know what it means to depend on the people around you. You know the long days, the hurry-up-and-wait, the deployments, the training, the missed holidays, the inside jokes, and the friendships that can last a lifetime.

And whether you are still wearing the uniform or have already hung it up, you do not have to lose that sense of connection.

THE AMERICAN LEGION IS FOR TODAY’S SERVICE MEMBERS AND VETERANS.

You do not have to wait until retirement to get involved.

If you are eligible and currently serving, joining the American Legion can connect you with veterans in your community while you are still in uniform. It can give you another network of people who understand military life, support military families, advocate for veterans and service members, and help strengthen the communities we all call home.

For those who have already transitioned out, the Legion can provide something civilian life sometimes lacks:

a place where you do not have to explain what serving was like.

Maybe you are building a career.

Maybe you are going to school.

Maybe you are raising a family.

Maybe you are preparing to leave the military and wondering what comes next.

Maybe you want help understanding veterans benefits, employment opportunities, education resources, or the transition into civilian life.

Or maybe you simply want to spend time with people who understand the culture, humor, sacrifice, and pride that come with military service.

YOU STILL HAVE SOMETHING TO OFFER.

Your experience matters.

Your leadership matters.

Your ideas matter.

And the American Legion needs the next generation of service members and veterans to help shape its future.

Through your local Post, you can support fellow veterans and military families, serve your community, advocate for those who served, mentor young people, support scholarships and youth programs, participate in memorial events, honor fallen veterans, and build relationships with people from every generation of military service.

You do not have to be retired.

You do not have to have served in combat.

You do not have to wait until you leave the military.

And you do not have to make the Legion your whole life.

You can participate in a way that fits your life, your family, and your schedule.

The American Legion is not just about remembering what veterans did decades ago.

It is about supporting the people serving today, helping those who served yesterday, and preparing the next generation to serve tomorrow.

WHETHER YOU ARE STILL SERVING OR YOUR MILITARY SERVICE IS BEHIND YOU, THE MISSION CONTINUES.

You raised your hand once because you believed in service.

There is still a place for that commitment.

There is still a team that needs your experience.

And there is still work worth doing.

ACTIVE DUTY. GUARD. RESERVE. VETERAN. RETIRED.

ONE COMMUNITY. ONE MISSION.

JOIN THE AMERICAN LEGION. HELP BUILD WHAT COMES NEXT.
